Academic mobility opportunities

As part of the Erasmus + KA1 project. Academic mobility of the MP Dragomanov NPU in the 2019-2020 academic year was given the opportunity to organize international credit mobility by exchanging with the following foreign higher education institutions:

  1. Evangelische Theologische University (Belgium)
  2. Universitaet Koblenz-Landau (Germany)
  3. Uniwersytet Kardynala Stefana Wyszynskiego w Warszawie (Poland)
  4. Panstwowa Wyzsza Szkola Zawodowa w Plocku (Poland)
  5. Universitatea de Stiinte Agricole si medicina veterinara a Banatului regele mihai i al Romaniei din Timisoara (Romania)
  6. Universitatea de Vest din Timisoara (Romania)

An excerption from University Statute.

7.7 The University develops international cooperation, concludes cooperation agreements, establishes direct relations with the higher education institution, foreign research institutions, and enterprises, international organizations, foundations, etc., respectively to the Ukrainian law.


7.8 The main directions and components of the system of international cooperation:
1) Taking part in bilateral and multilateral exchange programs between countries and universities for students, pedagogical and scientific workers.
2) Organizing joint scientific research.
3) Engaging educational, scientific, pedagogical and scientific workers of foreign higher education institutions to participate in educational, scientific, educational and scientific activities at the university.
4) Organizing international conferences, congresses, and other events.
5) Participating in international educational and scientific programs.
6) Conducting joint research, publishing activity.
7) Providing services for allowing getting higher education and scientific degrees by foreign Citizens in Ukraine.
8) Organizing official visits abroad for academic and non-academic staff, in accordance with international agreements, as well as agreements concluded between the University and foreign partners.
9) Realization of foreign economic activity, provided by the Law of Ukraine.
10) Information support of international cooperation.
11) Creating optimal conditions for academic mobility for teachers and students.
12) Other areas and forms not prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine.

7.9 Organizing international activity of the University, directed at the connection the best achievements of the national high school with progressive foreign experience.

Name of project:Changes in Teachers' and Universities in the 21st Century

Coordinator: Masaryk University (Brno, Czech Republic)

Project duration: 2019-2021

Project Description: The project aims to strengthen the capacity of middle management staff and teachers of Ukrainian universities to train future teachers. During the project, 5 intensive week-long training courses will be held in Brno, focusing on higher education topics: teacher training in the 21st century, internal evaluation of higher education institutions, internationalization of universities, and preparation and participation in international projects, as well as topics relevant to current interests of participants.

Name of project: “Development of the Culture of Democracy in Pedagogical Education in Ukraine, Norway and Palestine”
Coordinator: The University College of Southeast Norway (USN)
Project duration: 2018-2021

Project description: The aim is to improve the quality of pedagogical education in Ukraine, Norway, and Palestine through the development of a democratic culture in teaching. The project provides the best practice analysis of implementing a democratic culture in education and development of curricula, study programs and courses for the upgrading teachers of the high and primary school.

Name of project: “Support of Study Programmes Development, Quality Management and International Mobility on Selected Universities in Ukraine”
Coordinator: Palacký University Olomouc (UP)
Project duration: 2018
Project description: The aim is to assist Ukrainian Universities with transformation with study programmes and creation of study plans according to Bologna declaration, supporting the development of University quality management, and furthermore improvement of Ukrainian students’ international exchange.

Name of project: “Social Cohesion in Education and Governance: European Studies”

Project description: Elaboration of new courses in the field of the European social cohesion studies, including the development of methodology and research techniques and teaching of a theoretical and practical material; conducting of inter-university training; elaboration of improvement of professional skill program for leaders of civil society and heads of public administrations.

Name of project: “Eastern Partnership in Pedagogical Innovations in Inclusive Education”

Project description: The aim is to create educational and methodological framework for the development and introduction of new courses 9 of pedagogical innovations in inclusive education, and further improve and support their functioning in universities.

Name of project: “Structure and evolution of complex systems with applications in physics and life sciences”

Coordinator: Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin (Poland);

Reference number: FP7-People-2013-IRSES

Project description: The aim of the project is to make a major step-change in developing novel effective tools for studying complex systems based on stochastic geometry and stochastic evolution methods, on appropriate methods of analysis and combinatorics, as well as on numerical methods and computer simulations. The network we are going to create will unite efforts of leading specialists in this area towards scientific excellence, will establish new and strengthen existing long-term collaboration links between them, and will train a new generation of young researchers in this multidisciplinary area.

Name of project: Initial and Further Education and Training for Educationalists and Managers in Education in the field of Diversity

Coordinator: Stiftung Universität Hildesheim

Project description: The aim of this project is the qualification of pedagogues and education managers in a consecutive higher and further education system, for the constructive handling of diversity in educational institutions and organisations. Target Groups in education are BA and MA students in such subjects as teaching, pedagogy and social pedagogy as well as PhD students. In further education they are teachers, education managers, agency representatives (commune, town, social security, migration services etc.). Beneficiaries of these measures are children and adolescents with special needs, their parents, University, heterogeneous organisations/ corporations, social agencies and migrant services, communal agencies.

International Cooperation Office

Globalization is the key development tendency of information-based society. As higher education undergoes drastic changes when integrated into global processes, National Pedagogical Dragomanov University created International Cooperation Office with its task being development and update of scientific, teaching and innovational activities the institution partakes in internationally.

The main trend in the development of a modern information society is its globalization. As a result of this process, the movement towards international integration in general, higher education in particular, is intensifying.

International Cooperational Office was created for the development of the educational, scientific and innovative international activities of the University.

Main functions of the Office are as follows:

  • development of cooperation of the University with domestic and foreign higher educational institutions in the field of exchange of work experience, training of pedagogical staff and implementation of joint scientific and educational projects;
  • visa support for university delegations;
  • organization and conducting of international scientific events;
  • organization and support in the process of concluding international cooperation agreements, implementation of work plans;
  • organization of academic internships between teachers, post-graduate students, students at higher educational establishments - partners of the University, involvement of university scientists in international scientific events conducted by foreign partners.
  • coordination of the University's activities in the implementation of international grant programs;
  • delegations exchange with higher educational institutions of other countries to deepen and expand partnership cooperation.

National Pedagogical Dragomanov University is a member of the European Association of Universities and the International Association of Universities.
